Tucked away in idyllic surroundings about 42-km from Jaipur off the Jaipur-Agra highway (NH 11), Madhogarh fort is trying to come to terms with modern times.  Launched into a hotel in July 2000, the fort promises a transcendental experience to visitors.

The hotel, as it is, has 10 rooms of different categories with all modern amenities. It also organises camel and jeep safaris in the plains doted with mango Orchards."The present owner Thakur Bhawani Singh & his son Kunwar Shivpratap Singh". The carpets made here are exported to different countries.

Interestingly, a Canadian geologist Thomas Iannelli, while enjoying the Rajput-hospitality, found time to delve deeper into the rocky surface. According to him, "The fort sits on two-billion-year-old sequence of quartzite (hard rock) and schist (soft rock) that were originally deposited in a shallow marine sea as layered muds and sands".
